Corinthian Lynon named Roadrunner local driver of the year

Post Date - Oct 19, 2021

We are so excited to announce that this year’s Local Driver of the Year is Corinthian Lynon! Corinthian is a great example to other drivers here at Roadrunner Freight because he is talented, hardworking and always goes above and beyond for his customers.

“It feels really awesome to have gotten this award,” says Corinthian. “Sometimes you do things and you don’t think that anyone’s really noticing you doing them. This recognition is really humbling because it shows me that they really do see what I do and are acknowledging it.”

Corinthian prides himself on going the extra mile for his customers. It comes second nature to him, which is why we often get emails from customers mentioning his hard work.

“Sometimes it’s just the little things, like saying good morning to someone. Other times it’s big things like going out of your way to make deliveries easier for the customer, even when you don’t have to,” he adds. “I believe that what you put out there, you get back.”

As one of our drivers of the year, Corinthian received a monetary reward, Roadrunner-branded flashlight and apparel, and a gas card.

Corinthian lives in Houston with his wife and two little boys. As one of our local owner operators, he is able to be home every night and on the weekends.

“I’m a family man. I like to be home, raising my boys and see them grow,” he explains. “This schedule allows me to drop them off at school in the morning and get home to my family in the evening.”

Our local drivers can earn up to $130,000-$156,000 annually with weekly settlements, daily home time, no weekends. Our freight is consistent with steady rates, which means owner operators can enjoy a reliable freight schedule while enjoying the freedom to be their own bosses. For drivers like Corinthian, it’s a no-brainer.

“We make pretty good money doing this and Roadrunner offers consistent work,” says Corinthian. “This is a rare opportunity to work with a company that offers you great pay and work but you still get to maintain that freedom of independence. Plus, you get to work with some really good people.”

Congratulations to Corinthian!
